A French artist

Cuisine

Born in the 70s in the southern part of "Île de France" (the region surrounding Paris), I was inspired by my maternal grandma who was a both professional and home cook and my grandpa who was a master gardener. From having such teachers, my mom was also well versed in the kitchen, both as a cook and baker.

Later on, after getting married, I learned a tremendous amount by watching and assisting my father in law, a renowned French pastry chef, with his own in-house culinary lab, where I saw him constantly pushing the limits of his art. Once relocated to California, I continue practicing on my own, while taking regular trainings such as with Chef Olive at Kitchen On Fire (affiliated with Chez Panisse in Berkeley, CA).

For the next 20+ years, I was the designated cook not just for my family, but for many large gatherings and social functions. That is until the Spring of 2023 where the opportunity arose to be a volunteer chef for The Mankind Project, and deliver end-to-end culinary experiences for multi-day retreats, crafting entire meals and directing a team of 12+ cooks for upwards of 100 men.

This is what got me hooked to professional cooking and seeded the idea of one day becoming a private chef, or culinary artist, for the connoisseur of traditional French and Mediterranean cuisines. Learn more about my approach to cooking, and let me be your guide on your next sensual, gustative journey.
